Tshirt Mania

Adding another design to our collection (thanks for the suggestion from our new friend, Kristi!) We just can't deny that we feel like our hearts are in Colombia!
And yes, I purposefully cut off my head in this picture- I had just done some furious vacuuming and was a little flushed and crazy haired :)

We're (finally!) waiting!

Wishing we could give a big high-five to our God right now - we were accepted by Los Pisingos and are on the wait list!

I got this message today from our International Services Coordinator:
...your dossier has been submitted and "officially" registered with the adoption house. At this point you are on their waiting list for are referral! The next update will be to give you the actual referral!

What an absolute relief to be to this point! Now we will just try to not get impatient or anxious as the months roll on. A part of me cannot believe that the next step will finally be news that there is a little Colombian bundle waiting for us to come scoop them up :)

Let the wait begin!

One last approval to go

I found out today that recently our dossier was submitted to Los Pisingos!

Now we wait for the committee there to meet and approve us to be on the actual wait list. So scary to think that after how far we have come, we still need one last stamp of approval (and this is the most important one in my opinion)! And then we start the actual wait.

So we ask for prayers that God will guide the committee's decisions to do whatever is best for the children of Los Pisingos, for them to approve our application quickly (because we can be just a little impatient-so maybe just prayers for us to be patient!), and most importantly for the child we hope to be blessed with (and all those who surround him/her)!

Mini Project

While we wait, i'm trying to do little things to keep me busy and anything little we can do to prepare!
I had fun putting these together for our some day nursery (thanks pinterest!).
The piece on the left says "my roots lie here" in the banner part, with a little heart over Bogota.

We also met with a family tonight who has four beautiful kiddos from Los Pisingos. So great to connect with them and be able to get advice and learn from their experiences: getting to know some of the real experiences we may have in our new home-away-from-home, yet getting us even more excited! (maybe it is time to admit that we bought new luggage a few weeks ago, since we desperetly want to just pack our bags already!) Feeling very grateful that there are other adopted Colombian kids right in our neighborhood. God is good :)
